Highland Oboe Reeds: High Altitude

Highland 95 Oboe Reeds are made with high altitude compatible cane, and are designed for players residing in 3500+ elevation geographies. This is a 95% finished model for proficient reed makers to finish to taste. They are priced at a discount to other brands in my line because they are made with 10-10.25 diameter cane that restricts my ability to conduct a full test/adjust/certification of the reed at sea level (where I make my reeds). Aperture size is expected to shrink in high altitudes, and the actual amount can be hard to predict. They are made with the same top quality materials and professional scrape as our other brands.  Note: Image is of a fully finished reed.
