Easy Finish Oboe Reeds For High Altitude Reed Makers
Highland 95 Oboe Reeds are for players in higher altitude geographies who need to play on reeds built with 9.75-10 diameter cane. These are 95% finished (based on my protocols), and require the buyer (or their teacher) to finish to taste. This reed is drawn from medium to medium hard cane throughout my inventory (not hard or dense stock). Mounted on a Chiarugi professional staple- 47 mm in sizes 2 or 2+. Due to cane diameter and aperture size, this reed cannot go through the same testing protocols as my other reeds made with 10.5-11 diameter cane. Individual results will vary.
