My brands are married to certain cane with certain properties. Softer cane is not at its best in the winter, and harder cane is not at its best in the summer. Let me use my judgment to draw from the right inventory to achieve the results you seek at the time of your order.
If you have a preference for medium or medium hard strength, please note it in a note to reed maker at checkout. I will do my best to accommodate.
Blank Tie Length: 72 - 72.5 mm.
Finished Reed Length: @ 69.5-70 mm.
Signature American long scrape. Customized scrape. Moderately defined tip. Heart 41-.43 in thickness. Moderate windows, defined heart/back with catch. Moderate spine. Professional level response.
Finishing Touches:
- Dozens of micro adjustments prior to certification and ship.
- Cane is hand tied on staple for mount with precision alignment not possible with machine.
- Tested on my choice of Loree or Howarth XL Oboe.
- Reed prep instructions are included. If you are buying for someone else, make sure these instructions get to the player.
- Light application of Vaseline to moisturize cork.
- Players encouraged to sanitize reeds upon arrival.
