Student Oboe Reeds are handmade and designed for the easy response newcomers need without sacrificing tone and pitch. Early learners without a working embouchure sound best on our reeds. This leads to better learning and more fun in music making. Our attention to detail, expert hand finishing and quality controls make them unique in the marketplace. Cane strength is a true medium (never soft). Cane is not over scraped, and the student size aperture is achieved through cane diameter. While they are the lightest reeds in my product line, they still have enough wood left in them to go the distance. Oboe reeds are fickle, even at the highest grades. Individual results within an order can vary.
