Superior curated oboe cane grown in the Avignon region of France. I was fortunate to be able to secure an ample supply of the last of their 10.5-11 diameter tube cane from one of their best harvests in years.
It is beautiful medium to medium hard cane with thicker walls and somewhat higher density. Cane is gouged on a Kunibert gouger- .585-.60 based on hardness and at reed maker discretion. Cane is flex tested for strength and inspected for hidden cracks and conformation before packaging. Four shape options. Sold in bundles of 10. Extra slips are added to larger orders. A limited amount of tube and segment cane is available on process level tabs.
As is customary in the industry, Cane is not returnable.
Note: The incremental cost with the premium shapes reflect the added labor of hand shaping and the extra quality check after the fold that sometimes impacts yield.
