Vic Processed Oboe Cane (2018) comes from a great harvest of medium to medium hard cane with medium density. The reeds I produce with it are warm with smooth tonal complexity.  They vibrate well, accept nuanced scraping and are capable of performance quality. Since all of our oboe cane is acquired through a source, test invest strategy, we purchase enough for a long term inventory.  Plus, my cane only gets better with age.

Only sold in 10-10.5 diameter.  10.5-11 is fully reserved for my reed making business.  Gouged on a Kunibert Michel Gouging Machine with a .58-.59 thickness target.   It is also offered in processed form only. Sold in bundles of 10.  Larger orders are over-filled.

Note: The incremental cost with the premium shapes reflect the added labor of hand shaping and the extra quality check after the fold that sometimes impacts yield.  Also, while straight shape cane does not have ears, I have found that the sides of the tips often need some trimming.  Straight shape cane is not folded for buyer.
